Description:
We’re looking for a Quality Engineer to join a specialist engineering business in Stockport.
This is a role suited to someone with quality engineering experience within a technical manufacturing environment, as you will be supporting production, managing non-conformances and using quality tools to improve products and processes.

What will you be doing as a Quality Engineer?
* Developing and monitoring quality assurance and control processes
* Managing non-conformances through root cause, containment and corrective actions
* Driving continuous improvement using A3, 8D, PFMEA, DMAIC and Lean techniques
* Supporting APQP, PPAP, FAIRs, FMEA and Control Plan activity
* Carrying out internal and external process and system audits
* Providing hands-on quality support and guidance to Production teams
* Supporting the development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System
* Creating and updating quality procedures, work instructions and SOPs
* Liaising with customers, suppliers and Quality Assurance representatives
* Supporting product conformity and release to customers
What will you need?
* Degree, HND or HNC in Engineering or Quality
* Six Sigma Green Belt certification
* Working knowledge of A3, 8D, Lean and 5S
* Previous experience in a similar Quality Engineering role
* Qualified Internal Auditor
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant quality accreditations
* Strong understanding of quality control processes and standards
* Experience dealing with customers, suppliers and accreditation bodies
* Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Cpk, R&R, SPC, FMEA and Control Plans
