Location: Middleton, Lancashire & Chelmsford, Essex
Full time: Site Based

Overview
Our client is seeking experienced and motivated Quality Engineers to join their teams on major High Voltage (HV) Infrastructure Projects based in Lancaster and Essex.
The successful candidates will play a key role in supporting project delivery from initial concept through to commissioning, ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that quality-related project activities are efficiently implemented by contractors on site, meeting the specific requirements of the project.
Review contractors Inspection and Test Plans in collaboration with subject matter experts.
Promote continuous improvement by sharing your expertise through training and regular coaching, including ongoing communication with project management, site managers, internal specialist departments, document controllers, and specialist managers from the customer.
Ensure that construction site organisation and subcontractors comply with both project and quality requirements.
Facilitate testing activities on the construction site in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plans.
Identify, record non-conformances and ensure effective resolution.
Participate in mitigating negative impacts on the project and contribute to developing and implementing effective solutions.
Support the project teams with customer complaints and help develop effective solutions.
Perform quality audits In line with pre-determined schedule
Qualifications

Proven experience working on HV substation projects and construction sites of varying size and complexity is essential.
Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles and processes.
Experience within civil engineering, construction, and/or M&E installation environments would be highly advantageous.
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualification.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems.
Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and industry best practice would be beneficial.
