Role Summary

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet customer requirements and strict engineering standards. You will specialize in electronics manufacturing processes, leading day-to-day production checks, troubleshooting component failures, and maintaining our ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

Reporting To: Quality ManagerKey Responsibilities

Reporting & Collaboration: Report directly to the Quality Manager on daily production quality metrics, audit findings, and escalated non-conformances.
Production Quality Assurance: Plan and conduct regular in-process and final production quality checks on electronic assemblies, PCBAs, and mechanical integrations.
ISO 9001 Maintenance: Oversee, update, and implement the ISO 9001 Quality Management System under the guidance of the Quality Manager. Manage internal audits, document control, and preparation for external surveillance audits.
Defect & Failure Analysis: Investigate component, assembly, or system failures during production. Perform root-cause analysis (using 5Y, 8D, or Fishbone) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Supplier Quality Management: Inspect incoming electronic components and raw materials. Liaise with suppliers regarding quality discrepancies and non-conformances.
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes, minimize waste, and improve first-time-through yield rates.Qualifications & Experience

Background: Proven experience as a Quality Engineer specifically within an electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
ISO 9001 Expertise: Strong hands-on experience implementing, maintaining, or auditing ISO 9001 systems. An internal auditor certification is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, engineering drawings, and technical PCB data sheets. Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610) is a major plus.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with practical experience using core quality tools (8D, FMEA, CAPA).
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with shop-floor technicians, management, and suppliers.Benefits
