Position:
We are seeking a dedicated Quality and Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive problem-solving initiatives and spearhead the implementation of the new operating system, rooted in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality control systems and processes to ensure product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Lead problem-solving efforts to resolve quality issues and drive root cause analysis.
Collaborate with production teams to streamline processes and optimise efficiency.
Roll out the new lean manufacturing operating system across the organisation.
Train and mentor team members on lean principles and continuous improvement techniques.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor performance and identify areas for enhancement.
Actively participate in cross-functional teams to drive innovation and best practices.
Requirements:
You will be a Quality or CI Engineer with a good background in the manufacturing and ideally precision machining industry, although other processes such as fabrication, welding, assembly or plastic injection moulding would also be valued.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficiency in problem-solving techniques such as 8D, 5Y, DMAIC, 7 step, A3.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead change and influence teams towards operational excellence.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on process improvement.
