Description:
Inplace Personnel Services Ltd is recruiting an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality operations within a busy manufacturing environment in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
The successful candidate will support quality monitoring, internal audits, investigations, New Product Introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement activities, helping to maintain high standards across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining quality data to support SPC, KPI and performance monitoring.
* Conducting internal audits and producing detailed audit reports.
* Raising and supporting NCR and CAPA actions where required.
* Supporting manufacturing teams with process monitoring and quality investigations.
* Investigating product non-conformance using structured problem-solving techniques.
* Supporting external audits and ensuring quality standards are maintained.
* Contributing to the development and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
* Producing ISIR reports and interpreting engineering drawings.
* Using inspection and measurement equipment, including CMM and Shadowgraph.
* Applying quality tools and techniques including FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, 8D and 5S.
* Working Environment
* This role is based within a busy manufacturing environment and involves working closely with production and quality teams.
* Attention to detail, good communication and a methodical approach to problem-solving are essential.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday on a two-shift rotation:
* 06:00 – 14:00
* 10:00 – 18:00
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience in a Quality Engineer or similar quality-focused role.
* Good understanding of ISO 9001 and internal auditing.
* Experience with structured problem-solving and investigations.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Experience producing ISIR reports.
* Knowledge of CMM and Shadowgraph equipment.
* Good understanding of FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, 8D and 5S.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Previous manufacturing experience is advantageous.
* IOSH Managing Safely and ISO 13485 knowledge would be desirable.
Rates Of Pay
* £38,000 per annum
