Lowestoft, Suffolk | £15.71 per hour
Full Time | Temporary initially for 12 weeks
Monday to Friday | 8:30am-4:00pm | 37.5 Hours per Week
 
Hales Group are recruiting for a Quality Control Technician to join a well-established manufacturing business in Lowestoft.
 
This is a hands-on role that combines quality inspection, testing, sample preparation, data recording, and compliance activities. Working as part of an established quality team, you'll play an important role in ensuring materials and products meet required quality standards.
 
Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates from manufacturing, production, quality, inspection, laboratory, or similar environments.
 
Key responsibilities

Assess incoming materials against agreed specifications
Prepare and process samples for testing and evaluation
Carry out visual and physical quality inspections
Accurately record, interpret, and report findings
Use IT systems to record data
Support quality assurance and compliance activities
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Liaise with internal departments regarding quality findings
Follow site procedures relating to health, safety, and quality standards
Manage workload effectively while working independently  
What we're looking for

Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, quality, inspection, or laboratory environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Able to perform manual handling tasks
Ability to work independently and follow procedures
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Competent IT skills and experience with data entry
Reliable and organised approach to work
Good communication skills  
Desirable experience

Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience
Laboratory or testing experience
Manufacturing or production experience
Experience working to quality specifications and standards
Experience carrying out inspections and recording results
