Quality Control Supervisor

Here at The Job People, we are looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to work within a factory / production environment. The role is on going and an opportunity for a permanent contract for the right candidate.

This is a long term position and the shift pattern is currently rotating, one week AM and one week PM.

£15.28 Per Hour.

Job Purpose of a Quality Control Supervisor in Sutton Coldfield B35:

To consistently manage resource to continually achieve company targets. To be a first approach for all Team Members and to manage their issues accordingly with a timely and consistent approach.

Principle Accountability's:

People Training

Cell manning, controlling and taking steps to counter the affects of absenteeism to ensure a prompt 'push button' start at beginning of shift.
Ensure job rotation as per agreement with manager and in line with skills matrix/Ops manual/Personal Training record and appropriate company systems.
Ability to deputise for manager and active participation in the daily Production Meeting
Regular communication with team regarding cell targets and achievements.
Ability to supervise a team in any area of the factory with possible job rotation at short notice to suit business needs.
Ability to hold investigations & conduct disciplinary interviews

Systems / Standards

Ensure Team work to process using standard operating methods with the ability to prioritise work & people.
Manage housekeeping standards as laid down by your manager & required expectations
Audit and review working processes on a day to day basis - keeping a record of all paperwork for future review.
Review tooling requirements for area and manage shortages accordingly
Fully understands our internal TPM system

Actively seek process, quality and any other problems or potential problems then taking appropriate action to remove the risk.
Look for opportunity's to improve productivity & quality.
Have the ability to problem solve.
Has capability to fully understand the quality requirements in all areas as per the company control plan
Ability to implement change

Machine / Equipment

Ensure the prompt call out of maintenance team to all machine/equipment and also support maintenance in prioritising activity's
To enforce TPM activities within their area and follow up actions.

Environmental, Health and Safety

To carry out work safely and in the interests of all employees in accordance with the EHS procedures manual and summarised in the EHS responsibilities matrix.
PPE adherence
Fully understands standard ops and associated risks within the local environment.

Measurables of a Quality Control Supervisor.

Achieve daily/weekly production targets with team.
Minimal absenteeism to established company standards.
Quality of product to agreed levels and all associated costs incurred from site.
On time delivery of product to support internal and/or external customer's schedule.
Housekeeping standards.
Health and Safety standards.

Knowledge and Experience of a Quality Control Supervisor in Sutton Coldfield B35:

To have had experience within a manufacturing environment and ideally in a supervisory role.
Proven leadership skills.
To be able to carry out audits and assessments in the working area following set processes.
Be numerate literate and capable of effective communication at all levels across the business
Good time management, prioritising and decision making skills.
An ability to work under pressure.
A strong, proactive and enthusiastic team player with a "can do" approach.
Flexible
