Description:
Our client is a leading global manufacturing company within the food and additives industry, and due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Quality Control Operator to join their busy manufacturing facility in Stafford.
Hours & Pay
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Day Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday
8:00am – 4:30pm
You must be flexible to support business requirements and may be required to work night shifts when needed.
Night Shift Pattern (when required):
Week 1: Sunday to Wednesday
Week 2: Monday to Wednesday
Shift Hours: 7:00pm – 7:00am
Key Responsibilities
* Daily calibration of testing equipment
* Preparation of samples for external microbiological testing
* Storing and maintaining retained samples
* Testing production samples in line with product specifications
* Recording test results electronically
* Completing quality results paperwork accurately
* Testing New Product Development (NPD) samples
* Collecting and storing samples for customer testing requirements
* Collating samples from the production area
* Validating line paperwork against finished products and identifying any discrepancies
* Weekly testing of scales and thermometers
* Setting up shelf-life trials as required
* Carrying out daily GMP audits
* Completing daily paperwork inspections
* Performing labelling verification checks
* Supporting the production and quality teams to maintain required standards
* Carrying out any other duties as requested by management
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* Previous experience working within a quality control, inspection, or manufacturing environment
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and report quality issues accurately
* A good understanding of quality processes, procedures, and standards
* Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is desirable
* A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic and a positive “get up and go” attitude
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good organisational skills with the ability to complete quality checks and paperwork accurately
* Flexibility to support different shift requirements when required
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and some heavy lifting as part of the role
