Overview:
South Yorkshire based manufacturer of precision engineered parts for highly regulated industries has a current need for a Quality Control Engineer. In this role you will be instrumental in the implementation of robust measurement techniques, increasing efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Production Engineering to develop and implement appropriate measuring techniques.
* Liaise with customers to ensure measuring techniques and results are aligned prior to manufacture.
* Ensure final products meet the appropriate regulatory standards prior to release.
* Coordinate, train, and mentor staff in the use of current and new measuring equipment.
* Maintain the NC database and produce reports as requested.
* Develop internal and external inspection records.
* Ensure new and current measuring equipment is adequately calibrated and validated prior to use.
The Person:
* An extensive and in-depth understanding of measuring and inspection techniques.
* CMM programming experience.
* Experience of managing an internal NC database to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Ability to create and manage the reporting system for scrap/rework and concession.
