Our client is an Award-Winning, Luxury Fit-Out and Construction Main Contractor who are involved in some of the most prestigious projects in the most sought-after parts of London. Our client has been established for over 40 years and has built up a world-class reputation in the industry.
 
The Role
 
Our client is an experienced main contractor operating in London and the South East. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and confident Quality, Compliance & Sustainability Manager who will become a key part in our clients sustainability and compliance goals on a range of construction projects and across the wider business.
 
The successful candidate will demonstrate a personable and professional attitude and is solution-focused and passionate about sustainability, environmental performance, compliance, and best practice. This role will be both challenging and rewarding with exposure to a fast-paced, vibrant working environment.
 
This is a vital role within our business, reporting directly to the Head of Sustainability & Compliance and successfully carry out the sustainability strategy for the company and wider group.
 
Key Responsibilities for Quality, Compliance & Sustainability Manager:

Strategic Development: Develop and implement a business growth strategy, supporting the Board with the annual sustainability plan and budget adherence.
Knowledge Application: Use sustainability sector expertise to execute strategies and update compliance with emerging legislation.
Environmental Initiatives: Promote and integrate environmental awareness, waste management, and CO₂ reduction plans, ensuring all teams adopt best practices.
Team Support and Coaching: Guide teams in implementing best practices and client-specific sustainability initiatives such as BREEAM, zero waste to landfill, and site waste management plans.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Provide monthly KPI reports, analyze data to assess sustainability targets, and manage the Integrated Management System (IMS) for continual improvement.
Site Compliance and Audits: Conduct regular site visits and environmental audits to ensure adherence to environmental management systems and standards, recommending improvements as necessary.
Certification Management: Oversee ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 accreditations, handle inspections, and manage audits by certification bodies.
Incident Management and Client Assistance: Investigate environmental incidents, provide corrective actions, and offer technical assistance on BREEAM/WELL/SKA projects, including tender stage consulting.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Assistance: Support sites with health and safety issues, environmental concerns, and sustainability requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Provide input into pre-qualification questionnaires and tender documentation, ensuring quality and environmental standards are met. These bullet points provide a streamlined overview of the responsibilities while maintaining comprehensive coverage of the role’s duties.
 
Experience & Qualifications for Quality, Compliance & Sustainability Manager:

Proven experience in compliance management within the construction industry.
Proven experience in using EDMS systems.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Knowledge of relevant certifications, such as BREEAM, WELL, NABBERS.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
