Role Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join a major civil engineering project in Retford.
This is a long-term freelance opportunity, with an initial contract of 18 months and potential for further work. The successful candidate will work as part of the project team on a large-scale construction site, supporting the delivery of works to the required quality standards and specifications.
The ideal candidate will have a strong civil engineering background and previous experience working in a QA/QC role on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience as a QA Engineer within civil engineering
Strong civil engineering / construction background
Experience working on large-scale projects
Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures
Experience with ITPs, inspections and quality documentation
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Relevant site qualifications and CSCS as applicable
Responsibilities:
Supporting the implementation of project quality procedures
Carrying out inspections and quality checks
Managing and maintaining quality documentation and records
Working with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements
Identifying and reporting quality issues and supporting corrective actions
Liaising with site management, engineers, subcontractors and project teams
Supporting the overall delivery of quality standards across the project
