Job Opportunity: Quality Assurance Engineer / Product Engineer

Location: Tewkesbury, United Kingdom

Hybrid Working: 3 days on-site, 2 days Working from home.

If so, we have an exciting permanent job opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our client's team in Tewkesbury!

The Job:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in achieving the qualification of in-house software products and related third-party integrations. Your focus will be on ensuring that products are "fit for purpose" through rigorous testing. This includes manual software application testing, as well as aspects of web/mobile app and hardware/firmware testing. You'll create maintain and follow test cases as well as invent innovative testing scenarios that can be recorded to provide evidence of product maturity, then creating/maintaining release notes and other documentation. Configuring IT systems to replicate real-world customer network environments, you'll set up a range of testing environments using windows server, VM and web technologies. A creative and hands-on personality is key here as you will be working directly with the physical devices for fully integrated system testing and suggesting product enhancements for future releases.

What we need from you:

The ability to interpret and follow product specifications will be essential, as well as recent software testing experience. You will be able to write clear, well structured reports and technical documents. A strong familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and associated test methodologies is also essential. Previous experience working within an IT environment is a must, particularly with Microsoft Windows Server platforms. You'll be experienced in installation and configuration of Server/client Windows operating systems and network proficient (able to configure PCs to run in both workgroup and domain networked environments). You will be comfortable working with hardware products including wiring of electronic interfaces.
