Our Client in Burnley are one of the UK's leading Aerospace suppliers and are looking to add to and strengthen their Engineering Team

Position: Quality Assurance Engineer

Department: Quality Department

Responsible to: Quality Manager

Scope:

Effectively and efficiently manage customer and supplier quality assurance, management, and resolution of non-conformances.

Develop quality management system, ensuring the successful conclusion of all processes within our MRB process of Safety, Quality, Cost, Timeline (Delivery) and always supportive of other personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Support and maintain quality systems, accreditations, and approvals.

* Investigate, monitor improve and support all quality associated process and practice to increase customer satisfaction and internal working practices.

* Manage the performance of internal and supplier quality auditing.

* Maintain, develop, and approve all site quality documentation and records to support the aim of developing the IMS to meet the necessary accreditation requirements.

* Manage preventative action and continuous improvement activities.

* Manage non-conformance activities and generation of detailed non-conformance reports via MRB process.

* Review quality aspects of customers specifications and contracts.

* Develop and implement quality programmes, including tracking, analysing, reporting and problem solving using recognised tools including RCCA,8D, PFMEA, PPAP.etc.

* Undertake system and processes audits according to the internal audit schedule (e.g., AS9100 & NADCAP).

* Contribute to the success of the business by promoting an atmosphere of trust, fairness, cooperation, and teamwork.

* Assume responsibility for communication with external parties of suppliers and customers. Developing relationships and ensuring technical expertise is enshrined in all aspects of the process.

* Support all teams by sharing your technical expertise, with the aim of gaining a competitive advantage for the business.

* Ensure all related business working practices and communication framework is adhered to, paying particular attention to Safety, Quality, Cost, Deliver and People whilst also working within any defined standards (legal, Company, Customer).

* Effectively use your expertise and in-depth knowledge and understanding of Quality requirements to support the process team and business in ensuring suppliers and customers audits and risk assessment standards are met.

* Adhere to the code of business conduct (Score Group Values) and comply with all regulatory company policies and procedures.

* Ensure compliance with our accreditation to (NADCAP, AS9100 and ISO 9001) through promotion of sustainability across the teams.

* Work to ensure EH&S standards are always adhered to.

* Always act as an ambassador

Person Specification

Engineering qualifications with relevant industry experience.

Internal audit experience with qualifications would be desirable.

Ability to demonstrate the strength confidence agility and determination in assuming control of all quality related projects from the outset.

Ability to think laterally and quickly, ensuring the project is managed and delivered on time with the right first-time approach.

Flexibility to work from other locations if required.

Ability to work in a team or alone.

Computer literate and familiar with MS office applications
