RPS are assisting a leading manufacturer of precision aerospace components with their search for a new Quality Assurance Engineer, to join their quality and engineering team at their site near Barnoldswick. The role is offering a starting salary of between £40,000 and £45,000 p/a, with additional training and a clear progression path available for the right candidate.
Reporting to and working closely with the Quality Management team, the Quality Assurance Engineer will support the business in all areas of QMS compliance. You will be taking ownership of the QMS by leading the internal audit programme and hosting customer and regulatory audits, ultimately ensuring the business remains compliant to industry standards. Key responsibilities are:
* Support the AS9100 / AS13100 QMS across the entire business
* Maintenance of all documents, procedures, customer/regulatory standards and specifications that make up the QMS
* Plan & maintain internal audit programme to ensure adherence to the QMS
* Host external audits with regulatory bodies and customers, then coordinate & support closure of associated non-conformances
To be considered for this position, you’ll need to have previously worked in an engineering or manufacturing environment, but not necessarily aerospace, and hold formal auditor training / qualifications. Ideally this should be related to AS9100 standards, however an experienced Quality Assurance or Quality Systems Engineer with knowledge of IATF, ISO9001 or ISO13485 would still be considered. As you’ll be involved with the response to identified non-conformances, you’ll also need experience performing structured Root Cause & Corrective Action activities.
