Select Recruitment Specialists are proud to partner with a distinguished client in Norwich to recruit a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist. Our client, a leading manufacturer known for its commitment to excellence, is seeking an individual who can uphold and enhance their Quality Management System and support various technical functions within the company.

Job Summary

In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our client’s QMS, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting technical functions. This includes updating and maintaining product specifications, managing supplier due diligence, conducting internal audits, and validating HACCP processes.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update QMS documents to meet current standards
Create new procedures and instructions as needed
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure updated cleaning procedures
Release and manage QMS documents and administrative tasks
Conduct HACCP reviews and process validation
Investigate complaints and generate NCRs
Ensure complete and accurate supplier due diligence
Verify certificates of conformance for ingredients
Update and create product specifications
Ensure compliance with certification requirements
Coordinate external testing and log results
Follow up on out-of-specification results
Conduct technical tests and validation
Perform trending analysis on testing results
Ensure audit schedules are met and actions followed up
Conduct traceability audits and assist in external audits
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Essential:

Degree in Food Science/Technology or related field
Proficiency in MS Office and ability to create and understand reports
Ability to analyse technical information and implement standard methodologies
Numerate with an ability to interpret data in spreadsheets
Effective communicator with the ability to adapt communication styles
Strong team player with the ability to work independently
Experience in specification checking/writing
Desirable:

Level 3 Food Hygiene and Auditing qualifications
Knowledge of food labelling legislation
Experience with Quality Management Systems
