Quality Assurance (QA) – Night Shift
Salary: £32,032 – £34,000 per annum
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00pm – 6:00am
Location: Rochester

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) professional to join our busy food manufacturing operation on a permanent night-shift basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of food safety, quality standards and manufacturing processes, who is confident working independently and maintaining high standards throughout the night shift.
The Role
As a QA, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are manufactured safely, legally and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with the production team to monitor processes, carry out quality checks and identify any issues before products reach our customers.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out regular quality and food safety checks throughout production.

Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with company standards.
*
Complete quality checks, records and documentation accurately.
*
Identify, investigate and report any quality or food safety issues.
*
Ensure products meet specification, customer and legal requirements.
*
Monitor HACCP controls, CCPs and hygiene standards.
*
Support investigations into non-conformances and corrective actions.
*
Work closely with Production and other departments to resolve quality issues.
*
Ensure good manufacturing practices (GMP) are consistently followed.
*
Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic working environment.
*
Escalate any food safety or quality concerns promptly.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
*
Previous QA/QC experience within a food manufacturing environment.
*
A good understanding of HACCP, food safety and GMP.
*
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
*
The confidence to challenge quality or food safety issues when required.
*
Good written and verbal communication skills.
*
The ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
*
A reliable and proactive approach to work.
*
Flexibility to work Monday to Thursday, 6pm–6am.
