Hays Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools who are seeking experienced and qualified Teaching Assistants to join their teams. Opportunities are available across a range of settings, offering flexible work to suit your availability.
Your New Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils' learning and development within the classroom. You will work closely with teachers to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, providing both whole-class and small-group support.Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting pupils with their learning and development
Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
Working with small groups or individual pupils
Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
What You'll Need to Succeed
A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Recent experience working within a primary school setting
A positive, proactive and flexible approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Hays
