Do you have experience teaching pupils with autism, physical disabilities or profound and multiple learning difficulties?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist setting in Frome that provides a profoundly personalised, inclusive and nurturing education for pupils with complex and severe learning needs. The setting supports pupils aged 4 to 19 years old and is committed to helping every pupil develop, progress and achieve their full potential.
The setting is looking to take on a full-time SEND Teacher on a temporary basis from September. The successful SEND Teacher will teach pupils aged 4 to 19 with a range of additional needs, including autism, physical disabilities and profound and multiple learning difficulties / PMLD, adapting teaching and learning to meet individual needs and abilities.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
• QTS
• Experience teaching children or young people with additional needs
• Experience supporting pupils with autism, physical disabilities and/or PMLD is desirable
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to individual needs
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
