* Salary to: £30,000 pa

Our client is a globally renowned designer and manufacturer in their field.
About the role
You will work under the guidance of the QHSE Manager, Health & Safety Coordinator and the rest of the team. Your main focus will be QA oriented, producing test plans, conducting audits, processing & preventing nonconformities and performing a variety of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental management functions. Peer-training will be provided, prior experience is not a must-have.
* To assist the Health & Safety Coordinator with identifying, documenting and expediting resolution of health & safety incidents, to ensure data is captured for analysis and any necessary corrective actions can be implemented. Facilitating Root Cause Analysis as appropriate.
* To support the QHSE team with development and maintenance of the Company Health & Safety and Environmental management systems.
* To assist the QHSE Manager and liaise with stakeholders and suppliers as necessary.
* To assist the QHSE Manager with data collection and trend analysis of finished goods punch list items.
* To conduct internal auditing and weekly QHSE tours as requested by the QHSE Manager.
* To support the Purchasing department with new vendor appraisals and ongoing monitoring of approved vendor performance.
* General administrative support to the QHSE department; updates of internal procedures and instructions etc. as guided by the QHSE Manager.
* To assist the QHSE Manager with the maintenance of the equipment calibration system.
* Provide advice to peer group on QHSE related matters and ensure agreed QHSE tasks and objectives are completed.
* Liaising with Engineers, Production Supervisors and production staff as appropriate to discuss and resolve any issues arising regarding heater bundles, control panels and pressure vessels.
* To support and aid the training of any trainee/new staff as required.
The successful candidate
* Will have a positive and proactive attitude and be able to use their own initiative.
* Will be proficient in Microsoft Office packages
* Will preferably:
* have knowledge / experience within an Oil and Gas/ Petro-chemical / Pharmaceutical environment,
* have experience working with management systems complying with ISO 9001, 45001 & 14001,
* have a through understanding and use of standard measuring equipment,
* have an ability to read engineering drawings
