QC Analyst - Raw Materials
Near Preston | Permanent | Rotating Shifts (6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm, Monday-Friday)
Competitive Salary plus Shift Allowance

We're recruiting for a QC Analyst within Raw Materials to join a leading UK manufacturing business near Preston. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career QC Analyst or Laboratory Analyst with some industrial laboratory experience who is looking to develop their career within a modern laboratory environment, supporting the testing and release of raw materials, bulk products and finished goods.

Working within the Quality team, you'll play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards through physical, chemical and analytical testing, while maintaining compliance with GLP, GMP and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical, chemical and analytical testing of raw materials, DI water, bulk products and finished goods.
• Release materials and products from quarantine following successful QC testing.
• Carry out wet chemistry testing in line with SOPs and laboratory methods.
• Raise non-conformances for out-of-specification materials and products.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and update relevant databases.
• Assist with laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance and routine checks.
• Support validation activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure high standards of GLP, GMP and Health & Safety are maintained at all times.

About You

• Degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline (essential).
• Previous experience working within an industrial laboratory is essential, although this does not need to be extensive.
• Good practical knowledge of analytical and wet chemistry techniques.
• Experience working within a GLP and/or GMP regulated environment would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and computer-based laboratory systems.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a small team.
