Our client, specialists In the Renewable Energy, are looking for a Technical Design Engineer/Manager to join their Solar PV business. This will be split between commercial and domestic projects. This role would suit someone who has worked on the tools and now looking to develop in a survey & design-based and/or management role overseeing the team.
You will be joining a team that is passionate about renewable energy and making a positive impact on the environment. You will be responsible for electrical site surveys, electrical AC and DC designs/specifications, site audits and detailed costings preparation. Working closely with the pre-construction, sales and the delivery teams to ensure the project is planned and costed as accurately as possible enabling a smooth installation, delivered within budget and an excellent level of customer service is imperative.
You will be familiar with a range of panel, inverter, meter, and mounting manufacturers. Your day-to-day work will be designing the AC schematics of a Solar PV system and as such you will be proficient using software including AutoCAD and PVSOL. You will also have experience and working knowledge of dealing with District Network Operators.
You will comfortable working alone as well as a team and will be reporting directly to The Head of Electrical & Pre-Construction.
To be suitable for this pivotal and challenging role you will have the following key skills and experience:
Electrical engineering qualification and/or significant electrical PV design and installation experience
3+ years in the specification and/or installation and of solar PV commercial roof systems
18 Edition Qualified
Driving Licence (required)Desirable but not essential experience:
Experience of overseeing a team and projects would be beneficial and will be reflected in the package.
Proficient using PV design software AutoCAD and PVSol
Experience of specifying and/or installing battery storage systems
Experience of specifying and/or installing EV charge points
Your package will include:
* £40-70k - Flexible Depending on LOE for example - management etc
* 37.5 Hours per week - (Mon- Thurs 8-430pm Frid 8-130pm)
