Involve Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd are working alongside a Global Manufacturer to recruit for a PURCHASING MANAGER!
This role will be responsible for the purchasing of the raw materials, packaging and consumables for the business – note the is no people management within this role so perfect ford someone who is keen to take a step up within the purchasing / procurement world!
Daily responsibilities are;
* Responsible for the procurement and purchasing strategy
* Development and maintain a purchasing plan
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers
* Ensuring material stock is proactivity managed
* Supplier relationships and audits
* Ensuring all requirements in respects of custom clearance are met for imports
* Manage site service contracts ie building cleaning
* Champion use of ERP systems
The ideal person will have experience within;
* ERP Systems
* CIPS Qualified or part
* Manufacturing / industrial environment
* Previous experience within purchasing / procurement
* Strategic sourcing of both indirect goods and services
* negotiating supplier terms / supplier relationship management
* Experience of category management

* Days of work – Mon to Fri 37.5 hrs: 08.30 to 16.30
