Purchasing Co-Ordinator Stoke on trent.
As Purchasing Co-Ordinator your key responsibilities and Duties include:
* Raising, amending and sending Purchase Orders
* Reviewing MRP recommendations and actioning accordingly
* Regularly liaising with suppliers and progress chasing open purchase orders
* Supplier Relationship Management
* Maintenance of Master Data within MRP/ERP
* Supporting the purchasing function in reviewing and developing supplier and department KPI’s
* Supplier negotiation
* Highlighting and implementing cost-saving opportunities
* Supporting the function in sourcing new suppliers where relevant to support business and supply chain objectives
* Supporting NPI and Technical projects where required
* Working closely with material and production planning to ensure production is supported with minimal interference
* Working closely with the operations team to manage warehouse capacity effectively
* Manage internal relationships and improve communication within the team
* General purchasing administration
Knowledge and Experience:
* Minimum 2 years within a purchasing/supply chain role
* Supplier Sourcing
* Excellent communicator
* Relationship Management
* Experience of MRP/ERP systems within a SME
* Competent with MS Office (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
* Have or be working towards a professional procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS) is desirable but not essential
Experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
