Description:
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team in a job share capacity as a Purchasing Assistant. This role is pivotal in supporting the supply chain, ensuring seamless coordination from customer needs to product delivery.
Key Responsibilities for the Purchasing Assistant
Generate Bills of Materials for production, raise works and purchase orders based on technical team input
Coordinate order placements and communicate with suppliers efficiently using Sage
Update and maintain the engineering change request system to ensure accuracy Compile and prepare End of Month Data Reports to support decision-making processes
Assist with stock-taking activities and prioritize incoming site requests for timely resolution
Raise works orders, raise purchase orders from processed works orders
Place and track orders, including office supplies and employee requests
Ensure the timely ordering and restocking of coffee supplies and related items
End of Month Data ReportingExperience, skills, and attributes for the Purchasing Assistant
Previous experience in a fast-paced office environment preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing tasks efficiently
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Capable of managing workload and prioritising tasks effectively under pressureWhat's in for you?
