Description:
We currently have an opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant to join an established and successful manufacturing organisation based in North Yorkshire. The role would suit someone with some purchasing/procurement experience, keen to build the knowledge and experience.
As the Purchasing Assistant you will be responsible for:
Facilitating import and export clearance processes
Collaborating with supply chain within ERP to secure raw material availability and maintain stock accuracy
Strategising purchasing plans and executing order placements
Monitoring and tracing purchase orders
Securing favourable pricing and negotiating terms & conditions
Sustaining and updating Suppliers Database
Coordinating with regulatory and quality teams for product and supplier approvals
Cultivating strong partnerships with current and prospective suppliers
The ideal Purchasing Assistant will have experience within a similar role. You should be highly numerate and have good communication and organisational skills. Excellent IT skills are also essential in particular MS Excel
