Purchasing Administrator
Location: Gillingham
Pay Rate: Up to £16.00 per hour DOE
Hours: Average 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours and a reduced working week

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our busy Purchasing Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator looking for a varied role within a professional and supportive environment that offers excellent flexibility and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and monitor the department email inbox, responding to enquiries and directing correspondence as required.
Liaise with clients to obtain purchase orders and accurately update the CRM system.
Create, organise, and maintain project folders and associated documentation.
Prepare and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Update spreadsheets relating to client surveys, project progress, and invoice schedules.
Chase outstanding reports and documentation to ensure client SLA requirements are met and invoices can be released promptly.
Attend internal meetings, taking accurate notes and tracking follow-up actions.
Coordinate the booking of subcontractors and process related invoices.
Provide general administrative support to the Purchasing team and wider business as required.Skills & Experience
Essential

Previous experience in an administrative or office support role.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Ability to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Desirable

Previous experience within a Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain environment.
Knowledge of purchase orders, invoicing processes, and SAGE.
Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.What's on Offer?
