Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced accounts environment and have a keen eye for detail? Due to growth, this organisation is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their friendly team in West Bromwich where you will receive a variety of benefits including 35 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays) which increases with service, life assurance, employee assistance program (with 24/7 access to a GP service), 4% pension scheme and free car parking on site.
You will be working for a company that has been established for over 50 years and is a leader in providing specialist engineering services to a range of clients within the private and public sectors.
Your working hours will be 35 per week, 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday and you will be office based.
As the Purchase Ledger Clerk, your duties will include:
Matching, batching, and coding invoices
Entering invoices onto Sage 50
Reconciling orders and delivery tickets
Liaising with colleagues based on project sites regarding invoice queries
Liaising with suppliers as required and resolving invoice discrepancies
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records
As the Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will have:
Previous purchase ledger or accounts payable experience
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience in Sage 50 would be an advantage.
You may also have experience in any of the following: Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable Clerk, Ledger Assistant, Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Finance Manager, Bookkeeper, Finance Administrator. You may also have experience in any of the following accounts systems: Quickbooks, Xero, Pegasus, Oracle.
As the Purchase Ledger Clerk, your salary will be circa £24,000 to £28,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits
