Opus People Solutions on behalf of Cambridge & Peterborough Combined Authority have an exciting opportunity for a Public Affairs Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.
KEY DELIVERABLES
Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities:
Transport Summit
CPCA presence at conference season
Campaign for Better Transport fact finding day
MP briefings
Cllr briefings
Produce briefings for:
NIC visit
Transport Summit (inc. speaker briefings)
Campaign for Better Transport fact finding day
Cllr briefings
MP briefings
Business as usual tasks:
Updating CRM
Horizon scanning
Stakeholder mappingEXPERIENCE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Experience in public affairs, PR, communications, event management
Excellent written and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to produce clear, accurate and engaging written content
Be comfortable working to tight deadlines and monitoring the news and other media to provide proactive strategic advice
Be comfortable creating content to suit a range of media, including print and online, social media, digital and other communications channels where necessary
