Description:
Our client, a leading organisation within the rail and infrastructure sector, is seeking a PTS Section Engineer for a contract opportunity. The role will involve managing the day-to-day delivery of designated civil engineering work packages, ensuring that works are completed safely, to programme, to the required quality standards and in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing sections of civil engineering works through construction and delivery
Coordinating subcontractors, site activities and supply chain teams
Compiling and reviewing site documentation and engineering records
Undertaking engineering control, setting out and quality assurance activities
Managing inspection and test plans, inspections, records and handback documentation
Supporting programme delivery, short-term planning and progress monitoring
Resolving engineering and construction issues promptly and effectively
Supporting compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
Job Requirements:
Experience working as a Section Engineer on rail, infrastructure or civil engineering projects
Strong experience in setting out and engineering assurance
Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities
Good understanding of quality processes, inspection and test plans and engineering records
Awareness of temporary works requirements and associated controls
Experience working with NEC contracts would be advantageous
Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification and CSCS card
SMSTS or SSSTS certification would be desirable
Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline
