Location: Central Role covering Heath Farm Fostering (Herne Bay) 2.5 days and central services for 2.5 days

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week

Contract: Permanent

A bit more about the opportunity:

We are looking for a Psychotherapist to join our central clinical team. Our clinical team consists of several psychotherapists and a psychologist. This role is a shared position working 2.5 days a week at Heath Farm Fostering in Herne Bay, Kent. The remaining 2.5 days per week will be delivering central services. Central services are typically delivered remotely as part of a homebased position.

The National Fostering Group central services consist of providing our carers with an online clinical consultation service, our agencies with reflective practice groups and clinically deliver our specialist packages. You will work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide an effective clinical service across the group.

Heath Farm Fostering, Herne Bay, Kent, requirements are; to be a present member of the team within the agency for 2.5 days per week, provide training, observation, explanation and modelling to staff within the service and support them to carry out their duties with a therapeutic approach. You will support the staff, other professionals, and carers in the delivery of clinical consultations, reflective practice groups for all staff, support carers with process groups and guide and train their more junior psychotherapy practitioners.

Reporting to the groups Clinical Lead, you will carry out individual assessments advising on best practice relevant to autism, learning difficulties, complex attachment, and trauma experiences. After assessment you will formulate, recommend, and deliver best courses of intervention and evaluate progress in line with the statement of purpose and deliver the groups clinical model to Heath Farm Fostering and other allocated agencies.

Who we’re After:

The successful candidate will have relevant post registration experience with children and young people and previously worked within a multi-disciplinary team who support families. You will have knowledge of legislation and its implications for clinical practice including regulatory requirements and information governance as well as being competent in all relevant core areas of Psychotherapy.

You will be comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders including children, carers, families and professionals. It would be desirable if you have had experience teaching and training others in clinical practice but this is not essential.

Essential Criteria:

* Relevant qualification in Psychotherapy (Minimum of a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling/Psychotherapy)

* Registered with BACP or equivalent.

* Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities.

* Hold a full UK driving licence, with access to a car.

* Ability to work independently as agreed under supervision.

* Experience of multi-professional work teams or services within designated speciality
