About the role as a Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant in Milton Keynes

As a Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional academic, emotional, and behavioural support. You will provide one-to-one and small-group assistance, helping students overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and develop greater independence.

This role is particularly suited to graduates considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Child Psychology, Counselling, Teaching, or Mental Health, providing valuable experience within a professional secondary school environment.

Key Responsibilities as a Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant in Milton Keynes

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with a range of learning and additional needs
Support students with their academic progress, confidence, and engagement
Develop positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence
Support students who may experience challenges with communication, concentration, confidence, or behaviour
Assist teachers with engaging and accessible classroom activities

A degree in Psychology or a closely related subject

Previous experience working with children, young people, SEN, mentoring, tutoring, coaching, or care is desirable
