Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Proposals Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the cranes and lifting equipment sector, with the ability to collate and prepare comprehensive proposals for our customers. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to understand customer requirements and project scope.

* Collate and prepare detailed proposals, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, technical specifications, and costings, tailored to meet customer needs.

* Utilize engineering knowledge and expertise to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions that align with project requirements and budget constraints.

* Liaise with various engineering departments to gather technical input and ensure accuracy and feasibility of proposed solutions.

* Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and lead time information for components and services required for project execution.

* Review and analyse customer RFQs (Requests for Quotation), specifications, and contractual documents to identify key requirements and constraints.

* Act as a primary point of contact for customers, providing technical support and clarification throughout the proposal process.

* Assist in the development and maintenance of standardized proposal templates, processes, and documentation to streamline the proposal preparation process.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

* Proven experience working in the cranes and lifting equipment sector, with a focus on proposal preparation and project management.

* Strong understanding of engineering principles, technical specifications, and manufacturing processes related to cranes and lifting equipment.

* Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.

* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

* Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

* Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
