Proposals and Estimating Engineer

Description:

Working for a leading engineering firm based in Warrington, we are currently seeking a Proposal and Estimating Engineer to join a fast paced, forward thinking, hugely profitable business on a full time Permanent basis. The successful candidate will be tasked with evaluating, prioritising and delivering high quality and accurate proposals for tenders. Additionally, you will be liaising closely with internal engineering teams in addition with the client. The salary for this role is up to GBP40,000 per annum.

What will you be doing as a Proposal and Estimating Engineer?

Become a key member of the proposals function and liaising closely with the sales function
Review all tender documentation to facilitate effective bid or no bid decisions
Prepare accurate and competitive proposal documentation using standard templates
Ensure proposals are clear, unambiguous inline with the companies commercial and contractual positions
Ensure proposals are submitted in sufficient time for reviews and sign off
Attend kick off meetings as and when needed to survey and review client requirements
Ensure all necessary health and safety requirements and processes have been followed throughout

What we require for the role of Proposal and Estimating Engineer?

Must have a good technical understanding of MCCs/Switchboards/Control Panels
Proven track record of estimating electrical/control panels and MCCs
Technical knowledge of control systems, electrical/control panels and MCCs
Ability to relate to clients and understand their needs
Ability to effectively meet client timescales
Ability to estimate project costs
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and with clients

The starting salary is up to GBP40,000 per annum depending on your experience.
