Location: Loughton, Essex
Salary: £25,000-£40,000 basic (depending on experience)

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded independent estate agency, is looking to recruit an experienced Property Manager or Senior Property Manager to join their flagship office in Loughton.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing a residential lettings portfolio, ensuring landlords and tenants receive a professional, responsive, and efficient service throughout the tenancy.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a portfolio of residential rental properties.
Acting as the primary point of contact for landlords and tenants.
Coordinating tenant referencing and the move-in process.
Liaising with contractors and arranging maintenance works.
Managing tenancy renewals, extensions, rent reviews, and negotiations.
Conducting routine property inspections and overseeing check-ins and check-outs.
Handling deposits, dilapidations, and tenancy-related matters.
Ensuring all properties and tenancies remain fully compliant with current legislation.
Resolving more complex landlord and tenant issues in a professional and timely manner.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience in residential property management or lettings (essential).
The ability to independently manage a residential portfolio.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and customer service abilities.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
A sound understanding of current lettings legislation and compliance requirements.
Confidence in building relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors.This is not a trainee opportunity. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running and confidently take ownership of an existing portfolio from day one.
