Location: Rochdale
Hours: Part Time – 3 days per week, 8:30am–5:00pm
Additional days may be required depending on workload
Pay Rate: £22.00 per hour (CIS)

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Handyman/ Property Maintenance to join our client, a leading Build to Rent residential accommodation provider based in Rochdale. This is a part-time position offering competitive pay and ongoing work.

Property Maintenance – Job Description

The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of general maintenance and repair duties, including:

Inspecting rooms and communal areas and reporting maintenance issues that cannot be fixed by yourself
Preparing rooms and apartments for new tenants
General handyman and reactive maintenance tasks
Repairing toilet leaks, tap leaks, and minor plumbing issues
Repairing and replacing shower heads
Basic joinery, including undercutting doors and assembling furniture
Silicone sealing in bathrooms and kitchens
Basic Electrical Work – Changing sockets and switches
Fault finding and carrying out basic repairs
Completing flush downs
Moving furniture, including beds, mattresses, and other items
Accurately reporting defects in a timely manner
Supporting the wider maintenance team as required
Property Maintenance – Requirements

Proven experience as a Handyman or Maintenance Operative
Experience within property management, Build to Rent, student accommodation, or hospitality is desirable
Multi-skilled with a practical, hands-on approach
Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
Available for an immediate start
