Property Inspector (North Yorkshire) - 12-14 Weeks (Inside IR35)

We are looking for an experienced Property Inspector to join a housing assocation for a fixed-term contract of 12-14 weeks.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be the on-the-ground solution for the tenants' maintenance needs. You will be responsible for responding to reactive maintenance requests across North Yorkshire, including Darlington and Middlesbrough. You'll assess issues, diagnose problems, and ensure repairs are initiated promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests submitted by tenants.
Visit tenant properties to assess the reported issues.
Diagnose the cause of the problem and identify the necessary repairs.
Take high-quality photographs to document the problem and its severity.
Liaise with tenants to explain the issue and discuss repair plans.
Prepare detailed reports outlining your findings and recommendations for repair.
Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
Maintain accurate records of all inspections and repairs.
Person Specification:

You must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Property Inspector or a similar role.
A strong understanding of building regulations and property maintenance is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to build rapport with tenants.
The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and prioritize tasks is crucial.
A good eye for detail and a meticulous approach to work are essential.
A full UK driving licence and a car are essential for this role.
