Description:

Our client is a well-established Chartered Surveyor who has been established for many years and deals with Residential, Commercial, and student lettings over several offices in the Kent area. Our client has been established for over fifty years and is a friendly welcoming environment to work in. Due to business demands our client is recruiting for an experienced Property Management Assistant to join their busy and friendly team in their Gillingham branch.

Hours: 9 am - 5.30 pm Monday - Friday with one hour for lunch.

Will be required to be office-based at Gillingham initially and then remote working 2 days per week will be discussed.

Salary: £23,000

Benefits: Parking, Pension, 22 days holiday + Bank Holidays rising one per year to a total of 25 days and one or two extra days for Christmas, depending on how it falls. Benenden health care is free after one year’s service, learning and development program from day one, company events, etc.

Overview of Role:

To assist the Residential Property Management team in their management of residential properties on behalf of our client and its clients, adhering to current legislation professionally and competently.

Main Duties:

* Assisting with inspections

* Planning for inspections

* Carry out Property visits as required.

* Assisting with maintenance issues including issuing works orders to contractors, chasing quotations from contractors, etc.

* Assisting with renewals including, preparing letters for renewal, dealing with correspondence, raising relevant fees, etc.

* General duties including, chasing arrears, chasing inventory returns, and general administration duties.

Suitable Candidate:

* Proven track record in property management and its application

* High standard of written and spoken English, especially spelling and report writing

* Self-motivated with a methodical and organised approach

* Able to effectively prioritise and multi-task.

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, most importantly Outlook, Word, and Excel

* Full clean UK driving license and own vehicle
