Hi-Tec is a South Coast-based (Ferndown, Wimborne, Dorset) Welding and Fabrication company that forms a part of a growing nationwide portfolio of manufacturing, construction, and engineering companies. Our manufacturing output includes structural steel and architectural metal work including balconies, balustrades, staircases, gates, railings, plus bespoke projects - for contractors, developers, and domestic clients alike . Hi-Tec design, fabricate and install quality metalwork to our partners in the construction industry. We form a vital part of the supply chain and always aim to deliver to the highest quality, on time, and on budget. Job Responsibilities

Duties of the role include but are not limited to:

* Projects and Contract Management - including the tendering process across a range of clients from simple domestic projects through to larger projects working with national construction clients.

* Overseeing all projects and liaise internally with different departments such as sales, design and fabrication to ensure programme dates are met and projects run smoothly to the required, quality, on time and to budget - manging projects from commencement through to handover, snagging and retention recovery.

* Project-managing workflows, to ensure the most efficient working systems and methods are adopted, and then implemented on site

* Production planning and scheduling – and managing Hi-Tec staff to successfully meet the above.

* Monitoring work-in-progress to ensure that the maximum efficiency is afforded to labour and plant.

* Promoting and encouraging a culture of good working practices for Health, Safety and Quality – and lead industry-relevant quality-related matters including RAMS

* Ensuring best-in-class Customer Service levels are delivered to all customers, at all times.

* Overseeing health and safety standards throughout the business and promote a positive health and safety culture on site.

* Occasionally attending customer site meetings on a project-specific basis, as required.

* Reacting to client requirements in a methodical manner to minimise the disruption to current workflow/projects.

Candidate Specification:

You are a Creative Problem Solver, as well as Self-confident and Self-Disciplined.

You will have had previous involvement with workshop/site-based activities - having risen to your current the role from the ground up; and will be an autonomous Self-Starter, ideally with some exposure to budgetary control, possessing:

* Knowledge of the Metal Manufacturing Sector with an excellent understanding of Architectural Steelwork Fabrication and the construction of steel-framed structures – with a manufacturing or construction industry/marketplace background

* Time Management Skills

* Drive, Ambition and Commercial Awareness, with a Flexible, Positive ‘can-do’ Mindset

* Excellent Written and Verbal Communications Skills which allow you to promote collaborative working with all Hi-Tec departments, and across the Futures UK Group

* Budget Management Experience

* Profit-minded and Commercially Savvy

* Exposure to Construction Business Development, with an understanding of the Sales Process

* Experience of Construction Sector Tendering
