The below job description will outline this position of: Project Superintendent
Typically, this person will responsible for overseeing the dry-docking of all company-owned and managed vessels, ensuring adherence to pre-defined project plans focused on quality work, timely delivery, and cost control.

Duties and responsibilities of the Project Superintendent:
* Manage all aspects of dry docking and new build processes as required
* Ensure safe and efficient operation and maintenance of shipboard mechanical, electrical, and navigational electronics
* Ensure vessel equipment, systems, and structures comply with SOLAS, IMO, Class & Flag administration regulations and guidelines, including environmental legislation
* Specify, arrange, supervise, and report on vessel dry dock according to the (phone number removed) planning principle
* Monitor project cost, timeline, and variations to project baseline from specification submission to final invoice
* Keep VesselMan Planned Maintenance/Purchasing/Defect Reporting systems up to date
* Utilize dry docking and reporting software, including building technical dry dock specifications
* Assist in new build projects as required
* Travel and work abroad as needed
* Liaise with procurement to control the purchase of dry dock spares and consumables within budget
* Manage vessel dry docks to ensure timely completion of all tasks and comprehensive reporting
* Ensure all vessels receive dry dock specifications and oversee smooth and safe dry dock operations, including PTWs, isolations, risk assessments, and method statements
* Initiate "Stop The Job" if unsafe practices are observed
* Liaise with Classification, Port State, and Flag State representatives regarding legislation, scheduled surveys, and one-off surveys/attendances
* Provide a complete quality report on work completed during dry dock periods
Qualifications and requirement for the Project Superintendent:
* Sea Going Chief Engineer, or equivalent, with relevant offshore support experience
* Project management experience in dry docks and new builds
* Experience in a similar role preferred
