We are currently hiring for a project quantity surevyor to join our prestigous clients team.
Our client:
Is a large PLC Commercial Construction firm with lots of opportunity for growth and development within the business. Offices based in Plymouth and Taunton with projects running from Taunton, Sommerset to Cambourne, Cornwall.
The role:
As a quantity surveyor, your responsibilities focus on helping to estimate costs, material quantities and project timelines. A key part of the role will be to liaise with a range of other teams working on the project, helping it to stay on track.
Assess and diagnose defects. Specify appropriate remedial work and schedule work in consultation with the client, customer and other stakeholders. Specify, measure and order materials, equipment and joinery. Tender works and, order work through the Council's IT systems.
The ideal candidate would:
- Have a minimum of a bachelors degree in quantity surveying
- Experience within the commercial sector
- Experience on projects such as schools, hospitals and government buildings
- Be able to commute when needed to the offices and to site
