Description:
Our client, BAE Systems is currently seeking a Planning, Monitoring & Controls Manager for a contract role at their Barrow-in-Furness location. This 12-month position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-stakes projects within the submarine solutions domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining project plans through reliable project management methodologies
Monitoring project progress and implementing controls to ensure timely and efficient delivery
Identifying and mitigating potential risks impacting project timelines and outcomes
Coordinating with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication
Preparing comprehensive reports and presenting findings to senior management
Ensuring compliance with security requirements, including SC & UK EYES ONLY protocols
Providing leadership and guidance to project teams to achieve project goals
Run a team or teams supporting the Head of PM&C, providing practitioner capability in the establishment and maintenance of project control systems. This could also be in a Programme or Project Management Office.
Job Requirements:
Experience in project management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to monitor and control project deviations
Proficiency in using project management tools and software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Understanding of relevant security protocols and requirements
