Job Title: Project Planner / Manager - Technical Conformity
Pay rate: £40.00 per hour (negotiable dependant on experience)
Location: Crewe
Duration: Rolling contract
WFO/Hybrid/WFH: Hybrid but would be preferred onsite (minimum 3 days)
Hours: Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm Fri 8am -1pm
Purpose of the role:
The certification project planner is a key role within the department as they pull together a central plan and detailed project plans for the successful delivery of market approvals for the vehicle projects. The plan needs to be created, then enacted as the projects are delivered and tracked through KPIs.
Reporting to the Technical Conformity Project Management team but based with the technical Conformity Delivery Teams working alongside the Certification Engineers to develop and manage the certification delivery plan
Key Deliverables:
Generation and maintenance of project plans for certification project delivery, including system and whole vehicle approvals in line with the business market approval timing.
Active management of the critical path to ensure successful project delivery
Identifying and escalating to the Technical Conformity Functional Manager and Functional Project Manager potential risks and impacts to the plan and working mitigations into the schedule
Ensures robust change control of plans and management of change control log
Generates project health metrics and project status reporting
Maintenance of project calendar, resource names and task allocation
Extracts the resource profile from the project plans to provide regular overview of resource capacity vs requirements
Skills & Experience:
Demonstrable experience of project planning and successful project delivery within an engineering environment
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Project
Excellent knowledge of project management principles
Ability to influence people at all levels
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of self-motivation.
Strong presentation skills
