P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently recruiting a Project Planner to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full time, permanent basis.
Role Summary:
The Project Planner role is to create project execution schedules with the guidance of the project leader, monitor and record project status through the updating of progress and convey this information to internal and external stakeholders.
It is the responsibility of the Project Planner to maintain the accuracy of the project schedules and internal software reporting systems for all projects.
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing overall Project Master Schedule from inception of project to final completion and handover to client.
Preparation and modification of Project / Production Schedules for the proposal team.
Responsible for suitable work breakdown structure (Levels) for all Projects. Baseline preparation, critical path analysis, resource loading and reporting.
Liaising with all other departments, call out meetings and addressing the critical path of the project and convey multiple float analysis of milestones.
Closely monitor project progress against plan, suggest possible ways to expedite and improve schedule.
Implement corrective actions in the project planning /scheduling based on lessons learned on the projects.
Regularly review and update project plan and distribute to stakeholders.
Work with the Project Engineering team and supporting departments such as Engineering, Procurement, & Production to ensure the accuracy of the Project / Production Schedules.
Assist in addressing the delays, deviation from planned schedule and thus keep close monitoring of the project.
Track sub-suppliers purchase orders with expeditor / purchasing department.
Provision of internal and external KPI reporting and data analysis to support expediting vendors.
Implement improvement plans where there is a significant gap between expectations and vendors / subcontractors’ actual performance.
Maintain data accuracy of projects on internal Project Management Systems.
Monitor and report status of internal project activities such as the Design Review Process.
Monitor and report status of project documentation on each project in accordance with required completion dates listed on internal Document Control Systems.
Create and improve BI reporting as part of the Project Management System software.
Review Resource loading to highlight availability concerns to meet project needs.
Support Project Engineering team with admin tasks as required.
General tasks as assigned by the Projects Director.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 3 GCSEs grade C or above, or equivalent.
Project Planning Qualification or equivalent experience
MS Project Qualification or equivalent experience
Project Management Qualifications (Desirable)
Formal Project management Training (e.g. APM) (Desirable)
Project Control Qualifications (Desirable)
Primavera P6 Cloud version (Desirable)
Understanding and competence within Enterprise Planning (Desirable)
Good knowledge & understanding of packages such as Hydraulic Power Units, Chemical Injection Units, etc. (Desirable)
Proven track record in the design of Hydraulic / Pneumatic / Electrical topside equipment for the Oil & Gas Industry.
Previous experience in a similar role, and able to prepare a 90 day look ahead work plan for multiple parallel projects.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive relationships, and work collaboratively, across the business.
Good organisational skills with an ability to manage own workload and priorities to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good level of interpersonal skills.
Resilient and calm under pressure.
Experience in a Project based environment.
Ability to communicate with Internal and External Stakeholders.
Proficient in Windows based software.
Proficient in MS Project.
