Boden Fire and Security deliver services and project works to the Ministry of Defence and commercial clients at multiple sites in the South West and South East.

As a Project Manager and Estimator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the design and delivery of fire and security projects. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standard, aligning with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties include:

* Lead the planning, execution, and closing phases of projects.

* Develop project scopes, timelines, and budgets, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.

* Direct responsibility for on time delivery and budget for individual project works.

* Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely resolution of issues.

* Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

* Conduct regular project status meetings and produce progress reports for stakeholders.

* Promote a safety culture and conduct safety inspections on project work activities.

* Develop detailed system designs for fire and security projects, including fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and intruder detection systems.

* Produce technical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials using CAD software.

* Ensure designs and installations comply with relevant standards, codes of practice, and client requirements.

* Collaborate with operational teams to refine solutions and provide technical support.

* Prepare detailed cost estimates for fire and security systems, considering labour, materials, and equipment costs.

* Analyse project specifications and requirements to identify key deliverables and cost drivers.

* Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.

* Present and justify estimates to management and clients, addressing any questions or concerns.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.

Required Skills and experience:

Essential:

* Proven experience in project management and design within the electrical or fire & security industries.

* Proficiency in project management tools.

* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritise effectively.

Desirable:

* Experience within the Fire and Security industry

* Comprehensive knowledge of fire and security systems (fire alarms, access control, CCTV, intruder alarms).

* Proficiency in CAD software
