Our client, a dynamic and innovative organisation based in Dover, is seeking a Business Manager/EA to join their team. As the Project Manager/EA, you will play a crucial role in planning, developing, and executing cross-functional business initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee various aspects of business operations, including project management, communications and engagement, and contributing to overall organisational efficiency.

Start date: Monday 15th July 2024

Duration: 9-12 month Fixed Term Maternity contract

Salary: £34,712pa

Hybrid: Yes, 1-2 days in the office, 3-4 days working remotely

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, flexibility is available. Board meetings are held once a month, 5pm - 7pm.

Benefits: 25 days annual leave

Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with department heads and senior management to drive growth, maximise profitability, and ensure smooth and effective operations. You will take charge of operational and administrative tasks, providing status reports, identifying and escalating issues, and recommending improvements to maintain alignment and efficiency within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent the CEO internally on designated projects.
Assist the CEO and Chair in fulfilling governance and fiduciary responsibilities.
Manage online systems and tools for efficient decision-making.
Support diary management and scheduling of key meetings.
Lead elements of annual operational planning and review departmental plans for alignment.
Implement and oversee processes to increase productivity and growth.
Monitor strategic progress and facilitate action plans and course corrections.
Assess organisational effectiveness through departmental reporting.
Programme manage cross-functional projects on behalf of the CEO.To excel in this role, you should have extensive experience managing projects, as well as working as part of a management team and possess in-depth knowledge of business operations. A higher level education, or equivalent, with experience or knowledge in business administration, social entrepreneurship, sustainability, or related disciplines is essential.
