Hays Civil Engineering are working with a leading UK infrastructure contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager with a strong water sector background to support the delivery of a major infrastructure programme.This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Project Manager who has successfully delivered complex water infrastructure projects and is comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, commercial aspects, programme delivery and operational teams within a highly regulated environment.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take ownership of a significant package of utility and water infrastructure works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget. You will act as the key interface between clients, designers, delivery teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders, driving successful project outcomes from pre-construction through to completion.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leading the safe delivery of water infrastructure works.
Managing programme performance, resources and project milestones.
Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Coordinating designers, subcontractors, suppliers and delivery teams.
Managing project risks, opportunities and change control processes.
Supporting commercial performance, forecasts and project reporting.
Ensuring compliance with quality, environmental and health & safety standards.
Driving continuous improvement and promoting best practice across project teams.About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have a demonstrable track record delivering major water infrastructure projects for principal contractors, utilities or civil engineering organisations.
You will ideally possess:

Extensive project management experience within the UK water sector.
Experience delivering large-scale water, utilities or pipeline projects.
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Experience leading multidisciplinary project delivery teams.
Strong planning, reporting and programme management capabilities.
The ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities.Essential Qualifications

HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
SMSTS.
CSCS Manager Card.
Full UK Driving Licence.Desirable Experience

Major infrastructure project experience.
Utility diversion and coordination experience.
Temporary Works awareness.
Street Works knowledge.
Experience working in highly regulated environments.What you need to do now
