Join Our Transformation Team as a Senior Project Manager in Finance!

Location: London, Kings Cross (2-3 days per week), home-based for the rest
Contract: 6 months, 37.5 hours per week
Division/Department: Transformation
Reports to: Head of Transformation PMO

What's the Role:

 We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our transformation team. Your focus will be on leading key finance transformation projects. You'll work closely with our business and IT leads, and the delivery team to make sure we hit our goals and see real benefits for the business. We follow a benefit-led approach using Carey’s project and change framework to ensure successful rollouts. Sound exciting? Read on!

What you will be doing:

Develop and manage a detailed project delivery plan.

Schedule and lead weekly project team meetings (including with suppliers) to keep everything on track.

Work with system suppliers and our internal IT & data teams to nail down system integration, build, and configuration.

Oversee the data migration delivery plan (both current off and on system data).

Ensure our new processes align perfectly before we build and configure systems.

Support creating the post-go-live embedment plan.

Partner with the change lead to manage changes effectively and drive adoption.

Handle day-to-day issue resolution and keep the RAID log up-to-date.

Escalate any unresolved issues, scope changes, or budget concerns to the Sponsor/PMO.

Track project deliverables to make sure everything meets business needs.

Report project status to the PMO, Sponsor, and Project Steering Committee.

Ensure our work aligns with Transformation Governance and Project Delivery Frameworks.

Manage budgets and resources efficiently, understanding the dependencies across our transformation programme.

What you will bring:

Technical Skills and Experience

Proven experience in delivering transformational IT & business change projects, following a stage gate framework.

Strong understanding of technical IT activities, including system integration, data migration, system build & configuration, UAT, and training.

Experience in managing cross-functional project teams and driving collaboration.

Strong facilitation skills to navigate different perspectives and drive towards common goals.

Experience working across all business levels.

Bonus Points If You Have:

Experience leading and managing cross-functional projects that impact various finance functions (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Payroll, etc.).

Understanding of core financial processes like Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general ledger, Payroll, and financial reporting.

Familiarity with internal controls and risk management frameworks within finance.

Awareness of the ERP system, Coins.

Qualifications

Project Management qualification (Prince2 or equivalent).

Nice to Have: Change management qualification (Prosci or equivalent).

Able to stay focused and keep the team aligned with project scope and timelines.

A problem solver who can challenge constructively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Skilled at taking people along on the journey, ensuring smooth transitions and buy-in.
