Rate: £280–£340 per day (DOE) – Negotiable
Project Manager / Site Manager – Commercial Groundworks – Nottingham
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager / Site Manager to join a groundworks subcontractor on a commercial groundworks package in the Nottingham area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager with a strong groundworks background who is available to start immediately or after a short notice period. The client is happy to conduct interviews immediately for the right candidate.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of the commercial groundworks package, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with programme and quality requirements.
The role will involve managing site teams, materials and site activities while working closely with the wider project team.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day delivery of the groundworks package.
*
Manage site teams, and labour.
*
Coordinate labour, plant and materials.
*
Maintain high Health & Safety standards across site.
*
Monitor programme and progress.
*
Liaise with engineers and the wider project team.
*
Ensure works are delivered to the required quality standards.
*
Resolve site issues and maintain programme.
Scope of Works
The project involves a standard commercial groundworks package, including foundations, drainage, concrete works, ducting, slabs and associated external works.
Requirements
*
Previous experience as a Project Manager or Site Manager within groundworks.
*
Strong background working for a groundworks subcontractor.
*
Commercial groundworks experience.
*
SMSTS – Essential.
*
CSCS Card – Essential.
*
Strong leadership and communication skills.
