Senior Project Manager / Project Manager
Business Unit: Environment – Yorkshire
Grade/Salary: Up-to 75k + package
Background: My client is currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team in Yorkshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing projects within the Environment sector, particularly focusing initially on a P removal project in the West Yorkshire area on a Waste Water Treatment Works.
Responsibilities:
Lead the project management efforts for the P removal project, overseeing the construction of a new pumping station, excavation and connection to existing infrastructure, installation of a tertiary solids filter system, and chemical dosing NCC and HV upgrade.
Manage all aspects of the project, including dealing with poor ground conditions, tight timelines, and a high water table.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contractors to ensure project success.
Report to the Delivery Manager and work across complex and minor frameworks throughout the region.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager, within non-infra civil engineering or related industries.
Experience managing multi-million pound projects with programmes spanning 12-18 months to 2 years.
Familiarity with NEC4 contracts, particularly Option A and Option C.
Ability to lead a team, maintain project timelines, and adapt to changes effectively.
Willingness to travel as required, with most sites located within a 1-hour radius of Normanton.
Additional Information:
The role is based in Normanton, with flexibility for remote working.
The successful candidate will work on a blend of clean and waste projects, including reservoir schemes, P Schemes, and WINEP schemes.
Strong team fit and ability to collaborate are essential, as is a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
