This business are a well-established and extremely well respected contractor based in the heart of London who have built an excellent reputation for delivering a range of super prime residential refurbishments. They have been established for over 20 years and are currently going through a period of sustained but more importantly, calculated and planned growth. They are a very well-connected company with a large proportion of their work coming from recommendations and referrals, they are now making the most of these opportunities and now they have the foundations in place they are taking on more work and steadily growing the business.
They have been very robust in their recruitment process and have been able to appoint some very well-respected names in the industry across all divisions and are now building solid teams across the operations, commercial, estimating, planning and design sectors. They are currently turnover approx. £60m with a plan to cap their growth at £75m and consolidate at this level. Despite this growth, they are very picky about what projects they take on, with a focus on the client, building/ maintaining relationships, managing risk with all projects meticulously planned, programmed and priced.
This business typically operates with 12 live projects running simultaneously with around 3 ‘larger projects’ between £25m - £30m in contract value with the rest typically being between £2m - £12m. Projects will comprise of sympathetic restorations to grade listed buildings with e focus on retention and reinstating original features, through to complex cut and carve jobs with extensive structure alterations, basement excavations, façade retentions and prime internal fit outs, with all of their work completed to the highest possible standard. They pride themselves on the structure they have built, providing everyone (who wants it) a platform to progress their careers as well as all the tools to do their job to the bet of their ability. They also ‘look after’ their supply chain with consistent and prompt payment terms, they understand the need to build and maintain strong relationships in the industry.
Country Estates Division
In 2022 they established a division focusing solely on projects outside of London delivering private client prime property refurbishments. They are building a strong presence in the Oxfordshire area and are actively looking for a project manager/ senior project manager who will become a fundamental part of the team.
The successful candidate must have experience delivering prime residential refurbishment projects of a similar quality and have had exposure picking up their projects during the tender/ pre-construction process.
Projects:
They have two projects in the Oxfordshire area at £10m and £20m in contract value that consist of prime refurbishment/ restoration to listed period properties set on an extensive acreage. Work will undertaken in phases on the main property and the various ancillary buildings.
